Amidst all the uncertainty of the present moment, we hope you and yours are taking good care.

Orcas Island and Covid 19

San Juan County has been in Phase 2 of the Governor's four-phased "Safe Start Washington Plan" since May 23.

That means retail and restaurants are open (albeit with capacity and safety precautions in place). Face coverings are required inside all public businesses as per San Juan Health Office Order 2020-4.

Moreover, effective June 26th, a statewide order requires individuals to wear a face covering in indoor public spaces such as stores, offices and restaurants. The order also requires face coverings outdoors when you can't stay 6 feet apart from others.

Following a recommendation from San Juan County Health Officer Dr. Frank James, both the County Board of Health and the San Juan County Council approved submitting an application to the WA State Secretary of Health to enter a modified version of Phase 3 of the Governor’s four-phased Safe Start Washington plan on June 24th .  However, the Governor concerned with rising positivity numbers put all Phase advancements on Pause.

On July 23, Governor Inslee issued new requirements for all of Washington State to take effect July 30. These include:
-Alcohol (beer, wine, spirits) service must end at 10:00 p.m. until Phase 4.
-Indoor dining seating at an individual table is limited to members of the same household until Phase 4.

In addition, Washington Secretary of Health Wiesman added additional requirements to the existing face covering order. The statewide order requiring the use of face coverings will be expanded to include any shared spaces.

What we are doing to keep you safe

We are following the CDC's cleaning guidelines to ensure your safety.  Some of the ways we are working to keep you safe are:

  • Contactless check in.  Your cottage will be ready for you at 4:00 p.m.  The door will be open and keys inside.  Just walk in and make yourself comfortable.

  • All linens thoroughly washed between stays  (including bed-spread and shams).

  • Minimal Decorative Pillows.  But we have kept a few -- with removable and washable covers that we thoroughly wash between stays.  It would not be a "dream" cottage stay without some niceties.   D

  • Deep clean procedures that meet or exceed industry standards.

  • Disinfect all dishes, cutlery, etc between stays.

  • All surfaces and door handles disinfected before your visit.

  • There is no daily housekeeping.  No one enters your private space while you are here.

  • Replacement towels and trash removal upon request only.

  • CDC recommended cleaners and methods.

  • Cleaning staff wear masks and gloves while cleaning.

  • Hand sanitizers, disinfectant wipes and anti-bacterial soap for use in cottage.

  •

  • Disposable masks available upon request.

COVID-19 Cancellation Policy

During this pandemic.

Minimum Cancellation fee of $20 or 4% of rent already charged (whichever is more) until 10 days prior to scheduled arrival date.

10% of total rent if within 10 days of arrival date.

Due to enhanced cleaning protocols in place, please understand that :

  • we are unable to welcome pets to our cottages until October 15th.

  • Pets are welcomed with advanced clearance and payment of pet sur-charge at our Isle Dream and Sea Dream Cottages from October 15th through April 15th.

  • Our ability to accommodate requests for early check-in or late check-out is greatly reduced and must be cleared in advance

Since each of our cottages are situated on its own special, beautiful and PRIVATE property, there are no shared spaces with other guests

thus, a wonderful choice for pure relaxation.
